Collaborations. Art and Science.
As a full time artist I love to work in collaboration with others.
This is often through the research I do to inform and influence my artwork and happily includes
taking part in citizen science surveys and learning from amazing Marine Biologists and naturalists both near and far.
My hope is that my artwork that comes out of these collaborations in turn inspires other people to explore nature and to care for our planet.
Before life as a full time Artist I worked in the environmental sector: Campaigning on ecology and social justice issues, leading projects to engage people in nature and environmental issues, delivering Forest School and wildlife events. And many years of Community based Eco Art activities.
All are always welcome to Drop in and Draw in my Studio Gallery Creative Courtyard when open.
31 artists created the 31 most endangered species of sharks. This is my Pelagic Thresher Shark.
All 31 artworks are migrating around the UK to raise awareness of these beautiful creatures and the importance of protecting them and their habitat
The Shark Trust UK will then auction these pieces to raise funds for the vital conservation work they do worldwide
